Furry Friends: Jackson is ready for a loving home

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Animal shelters across Southwest and Central Virginia are full of adoptable pets. WFXR News highlights these adorable adoptables in our weekly “Furry Friends” segment.

On Tuesday, November 5, Kathy Bauman and Anita Finkle with the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) brought Jackson to the WFXR News Studio.

Jackson is a handsome one-year-old hound who gets along with other dogs. He is housebroken, crate-trained, and does well with car rides. Overall, he has a calm and peaceful demeanor.

While he can be a couch potato, Jackson likes walks and outdoor adventures. He would benefit from an active household with a fenced yard.

If you are interested in adopting Jackson—or any other adoptable animal at the RCACP—you can submit an adoption application here.

You can also visit the RCACP’s website to learn more about the shelter’s adoption process, the foster program, or volunteer opportunities.
