Furry Friends: Buddie is brimming with love

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Each week, WFXR News highlights adoptable pets filling up animal shelters across Southwest and Central Virginia.

This week, on Tuesday, January 21, Stephanie Wright with the Franklin County Animal Shelter brought Buddie to Furry Friends!

Buddie is about three to four years old. He was taken in by animal control as a stray due to a chain being embedded in his neck. He was terrified when he first arrived at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. However, he has healed tremendously and has become a loving furry friend. Buddie is ready to find his forever home!

This happy-go-lucky pup is quick to make new friends. He’s gentle and affectionate. Buddie would love to be a lap dog if you let him!

Buddie has tested well with other dogs and cats. Wright says he would probably do very well with children, too.

Overall, Buddie would make a wonderful companion in almost any household. He deserves a loving family and a warm home to call his own.

If you’re interested in adopting Buddie, the Franklin County Animal Shelter is located at 81 State Street in Rocky Mount. The shelter is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
