Franklin County Sheriff Deputies assist with security during Presidential Inauguration Ceremony


FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – On Monday, January 20, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was in Washington, D.C., and proudly assisted with security during the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony.

On Tuesday, January 21, the FCSO said in a social media post that 20 members of the department traveled to the Capitol and were sworn in as special deputies in the District of Columbia for this historic occasion.  

“It is a tremendous honor to support the safety and security of our nation and the Office of the President during this significant event. We are proud to represent Franklin County in service to our country.” – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office
