Explore the “Threads of Nature” with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine


BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine’s spring art show will highlight displays from February 4 through May at the schools’ Roanoke Campus.

The “Threads of Nature” opening will be on Tuesday, February 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Atrium, 2 Riverside Circle, Roanoke

There will be a chance to meet the artists, view the show, and enjoy light refreshments.

Artists Carol Monti, Tina Freudenberger, and Nancy Hershberger met at the Shenandoah National Park in 2021 and became friends. Freudenberger interprets animals in her art, while Hershberger interprets landscapes in fabric. Monti’s passion for art includes both landscapes and animals.

Together, they used their passion through their work.

“Threads of Nature” will exhibit three quilts that explore animals and nature scenes in fabric and thread.
