AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The investigation in the Elsie Wiggington case continues with the arrest of the ex-wife of the man charged with murder in connection to her death.
According to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail, on Sunday, January 12, 49-year-old Patricia Wiggington was arrested and charged with Accessory after the fact of Class 1 or 2 felony homicide and Obstruction of Justice.
Patricia is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without Bond.
Elise was last seen in June 2023. Her remains were recovered from a home on Pendleton Drive in Amherst County on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Frederick Lewis Wiggington was taken into custody in Augusta County and has been charged with First Degree Murder and concealment of a dead body.
