Danville Fire Department responds to multiple fires at the same residence within hours



DANVILLE, Va. — The Danville Fire Department responded to the same home on Kimberly Avenue twice between Friday evening and early Saturday morning.

Crews were first dispatched to the home at 5:47 p.m. on Friday where they were able to get the fire under control in around 20 minutes.

Then, at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, the Danville Fire Department was once again dispatched to the residence on Kimberly Avenue where they found heavy fire in the rear of the house.

The second blaze was controlled within around 30 minutes.

Both fires are under investigation by the Danville Fire Marshal’s office and a cause has not been released for either burn.

WFXR is still working to find out if anyone was injured or displaced by the fires and how much damage was sustained.
