Christmas fire in Bedford County, cause unknown


BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Big Island Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Wednesday in Bedford County.

On Wednesday, December 25 around 6:37 p.m. Bedford County fire assisted Big Island Volunteer Fire Department to a fire on Gunstock Creek Road.

Command 2 arrived and found a single wide trailer on fire with flames present on three sides of the home.

Multiple crews arrived on the scene to tackle to fire as the flames shifted behind the paneling and ran throughout the structure.

The fire was controlled in a short amount of time and there were no reported injuries.

The Bedford County Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
